About the problem with plastic

when i watched TV,  a TV program about plastic pollution in Philippines was on .

The TV featured about what happend to Philippines with the problem of plastic. the program started with introducing a baby whale died because of too much plastic in its stomach, which made him not be able to breath or get nutrition from its physical function.

the narration said that there are some whale already had lots plastics in their stomach, but i dont think so , i mean more or ,every whale have already had plastic more or less, eating it as their food by mistake.  it is because i have red one book saying so and we can understand it once we see the situation now our sea has.

The city that the baby whale was found is located by sea. and there, is famous for a little bit poor village.  There appearently doesnt have fundamental infrastructure,so they throw their daily waste to anywhere they want, like backyard or under the house or sea.  and the problem is there are lots of plastic were found  from the waste.  It is known that plastic cant be disassemble in the natural world. now the problem of the wast is getting to become a big problem for not only Philippines, but for all countries.  it is said that there are already few places to store all waste in the country, though they made a special place for it for 10 years ago. The whole amount of the waste was bigger than they expected at that time, which means philippines has developed so much by lots  companies coming from offshore reportedly.

when i watched this TV program, i felt this problem was just for philippines from the way to report , but actually not.  the responsibility is on not only for Philippines, but also the all countries that help them to develop.  it is like they help them to develope the country as they want til they are satisfied, and gone after that, leaving lots problem that is hard to solve, especially the problem with large amount of plastic.  they should have thought some measure to deal with the waste after using it for growing.  there is a way called recycle system, but it says that the all amount of plastic they actually recycled is under 20 % in the world. so we need more way to solve it before it gets more serious.  like the way to generate enegy from the wast by using plastic somehow, preventing them from coming out the toxic gas.  it is  becuase its time to also consider about the rest of resourses on the earth.

Back to Japan

After finishing 11 months studying abroad, I finally came back to Japan.

im now writing blog for the first time in a while because things settled down.  During the blank, my friend and I carried out an one month Europe trip, starting from Greece to my hometown in Spain Jaen.  and now im in Hachinohe, which is my hometown where is famous for seafood.

This is what ive got from the Europe trip though, its really relaxing to have stable place to stay. it allows me to do anything as i want. No need to think about where to stay for tomorrow or to care about other people too much, and also no need to prepare for leaving tomorrow like when we did during the trip.

Since i came back here, im enjoying eating japanese food that id been missing😎, like Sushi, ramen, Natto, tohu, miso soup, and more.  all things made me relaxed.  later i want to write about the trip and  summarize the days of studying abroad.

From the Heisei era to the Reiwa era

Today is the day that Japanese Emperor will abdicate and new emperor will take over, which means the Heisei era will be over and the Reiwa era will begin.

Abdication of Emperor rarely happens.  Actually, it is said that this abdication was for the first time in over 200 years.  And its surprising that this emperor system has continued for over 2000 years.  Usually, I don't live with being conscious of the era, but this time it made me think of it, like im really blessed with all of things.  Because Im  now in Spain to study, but who'd thought that I would be here at this moment.  I know I need to repay, so i keep going.

About the Energy in Europe.

This time, im going to write about the energy situation in Spain with the ones that the other neibor countries have.

European countries are relatively known as renewable energy developed countries. EU has annnounced that they are plannning to swich the all energy into renewable energy till 2050, which means they will generates electricity by using renewable energy.  The process has already started in whole Europe, for example, Norway, Sweden, Denmark has taken action of it, the rate of electricity is coverd by renewable energy with high rate.  Not only the north europe, but also the movement can be seen in  entire europe as I mentioned above.

what about Spain?  Actually, Spain announced that till 2030, it is planning to generate 35% electricity by renewable energy, which is 2% higher rate that EU suggested.  And Spain is known as a country famous for solar power, same as Jarmany. IN Spain, a rate that how much percentage renewable energy generates electricity indicates that 51% in total, and solar power accounts for around 1/5 of the percentage.  So just living in spain, we can see solar panel everywhere, like on the roof of university, or domitory, countryside, and so on.

Comparing to Japan with the same rate of electricity generated by renewable energy.  The rate of Spain has reached 51% with renewable energy, on the other hand, in Japan only the renewable energy acounts for 14.5% in total.  It is said that the facility for setting renewable energy requires geographic elements somehow, but clearly it can be seen that Japan need to advance this area, following these countries.   we can see how much European country has developed in terms of the energy in the future.

So, why many countries has started to shift their way to generate energy into renewable energy?  That is because to prepare for the time when almost all the energies that is used now are prohibited or limited to use.  For example, usage of coal, natural gas, diesel engine, extraction of fossil fuel, and so on.  The movement has already started in entire world, caring about development of one country.  it's not only for the world scale, but for citizen level.  All things are related to environment finally, no matter what because we live in the earth.  So everyone has the responsibility to care about nature, environment as a menber of it.  I hope i want to continue to learn this kind of things from now on.

Semana Santa at Camino de Santiago

Its already end of april, which means my study abroad in Spain will be over, the time is approaching.   every April, in Spain, there is a long holiday called `Semana Santa` , which means  a "festival to commemorate the Passion of Christmas." The last week after Christ enters Jerusalem, is sentenced, died and resurrected is called "Semana Santa".

During the period, all the nation gets around 10 days holidays.  so my friend and I were planning to go to Santiago de Compostela, which is famous for walking as a pilgrimage.

so ,we decided to walk around 230km(over?) from Ponferrada to the final destination, Santiago de compostela.

It is said that the pilgrimage has started from around 10 century, and from the time, the popularity of it increased, and it continues till now.  The original objective of the pilgrimage was based on the christianity, religious things, but now it is changing into kind of activity of walking, hinking, so we can meet many people from around the world on the way to the destination.

Most of the scenary that we can see on the way are nature, such as  going inside of a forest, grass field, farm, river, mountain, and we walk, following the signal of shell.  shell has become the symbol of not only the Camino de Santiago, but also, St. Jacob. The origin why shell is the symbol of pilgrimage is said to have several meanings, one of them is that when Jacob`s corpse was carried by a ship, there were a large number of shell attached to the bottom of the ship, so since then it is said that shell has become the symbol of the pilgrumage.

My aim of this journey was to get some experiences that ive never done.  It can be anything.  For me, walking for around 30km average per day was also my new experience.  During this journey I used only English and a little bit Spanish, was also my new experience.  And the experience I felt so hard on the way because of my bad condition I got on the way on my feets was also the one.  So what I want to say is things that I got there were all new experiences.  what we had to do till get to the final destination was already decided that just keep going with the shell sign.  Its so simple.  On the way, when we feel tired, then take a rest on the ground with nature, when we get hungry, then stop by some place to eat.  But there was a one thing that we must follow, that was we needed to keep walking no matter what you get tired because of the date.  We had only 8 days to walk actually, so even though how much we are tired, theres no choice, but walk, even though its bad weather.  So the Camino de Santiago (The road of the Santiago in Englsh) teaches us a lot through these experiences.  It was more than I expected befofe going there.  It's like, challenge, hardship, pleasure, joy, meeting new people, continuity, success, and so on.

Living in Jaén

Long time no writing blog, it's been already 2, or 3 months since last i wrote my blog because I focused on studying, and thinking myself that what i need during staying here.

I don't know, but writing blog can do anytime even when i go back to Japan, using my freetime, so blog that takes time would not be the first choise that i take here.  thats why i stop writing for a while.

Staying in Jaen,  I can find lots things that i've never known.  Actually, i moved to Tokyo 4 years ago, which is known as captal in Japan, and still i will continue to live there for studying and so on.  but my hometown is different from tokyo so much.  theres no much transportation, people, building, but i prefer that kind of city, and life.  Jaen is like that.  seeing around Jaen,  only thing that we can see around city is just lots of olive.  jaen is famous for the most production of olive in the world.  so if you come here, youll be guaranteed to get the fresh olive😎

Another thing we can find here is meeting good friend, people.  here in jaen, theres a one University, jaen university, which has lots students, including exchange students like me,  so in the class, or weekend, on the road, we can get know each other, see each other.  And most of all weekend, we spend the time together, eating and talking.  you already may know it though, our only way to communicate is using english, so we have no choise but using English.  But actually I love such a way of using English because it's also related to my friends that i met here.  they are from India, and India is known as a country having over 2000 languages.  Because of the diversity of the language, it is said that only the difference of 100m, the language also changes.  so that they communicate each other, they use English, and I saw the moment of it here fortunately.  From the occasion, I thought that using English is great for communicating with people who have different culture, from country. Just having an ability of English expands our possibility definitely.  i can  say i live a good life here because i found the importance of English directly.

Im plannning to write the follong story of Morroco after going back to Japan, because of the time for writing.

 No.2       The Southern Pearl  Marrakish!

Finishing the first day as just moving day from the port to the cenrter of Tange, and taking the train with a bad reputation from there to Marrakish , finally reached Marrakish!

12/28        To Medina( old town) , and meeting up friends!

Arriving the Marrakish station before sunrising, at 7:15 in the morning, so we , the roommate stayed at the train with me decided to wait at the caffee til it gets bright.

when i talked with the parson who sitting besides me , i was surprised because she can speak Japanese so fluently !! because she has studied Japanese for over 8 years and had a experience of studying abroad in Japan!  so cool.

the plan for today is meeting with my friend safely.  where we meet takes 10 minites by car from Marrakesh Menara Airport.  They will arrive there at 18;15. so  I have much time , I started going out for sightseeing in Marrakish.

Marrakish~    one of the primary city in Morocco called paradise of Morroco. famous for the market, Koutoubia tower.

Snake charmers

We can enjoy sightseeing Marrakish easily because it's gahterd in the center.  There are many people at the market all time, especially at night.

we can find interesting people on the road.  people who i got interest were snake charmers being near the entrance of the place.  the music with arabian melody attracts people.  But be careful because they soon approach  to tourists and have them take photos, asking for money if you are found.  That's  why this photo is bad quarity😂

when you  take a photo of the snakes, be careful of the snake charmers than the snakes.

Cutting through the market of Fna,  there a lots of small shops stand in a row on the narrow road, which is called Medina(old town). And it's all regesterd as world heritage site.

In the Medina, there are a lot of shops on the narrow and complicated road. And not only people use the road, but also donkey, hourse use it same as people. we can feel we're there at that time.  people who like this kind of atmosphere must enjoy a lot😋

Forth photo shows the tyipical food served in the morning in morocco.  Though I ate it all time during staying there, i dont know the name.  this is the photo that i ate it for the first time, when I was seeing at the shop, then a man started to talk to me,  and i said that i want one , and he explained a lots about it for me, of course in Arabic and he ordered it for me.  Inside of it, jam, cheese, butter. the one next to it, its a mint tea, this is also typical drink in morocco. we drank it a lot during stay. this set costed less 1Euro.

Having much free time, I enjoyed a lot  medina, getting lost positively.  I dont care which way should i go when a new road appears.  talking with people meeting there is one of the favorite thing of journey.  I talked a lot with a old man who had been to japan for many times when he was young and his son. i think its true because there are photos at that time. But also there are many people telling a crazy story, so be careful😅

And when you enjoy medina , you should check your location with GPS sometimes not to get lost. and also take care about robbing because of many people there.

f:id:KaiseiO:20190118072846j:plain

近くの公園で休憩  break at the park near the plaza

after that , I started moving to Marrakesh Menara Airport where we meet.

with the information i got before, it says that it takes 10 minites by car , so I think i can walk there, but it would be turned out to be wrong😂

The way to get to the airport is simple because  just following the big main street.  On the way, we can enjoy the different view from the old city, such as morden buildings, developed road, and so on.  I realized that Morocco developed more than I thought!

when I was walking, I met a man talking to me, saying ”Hey Brother!!", I was a little bit alert for him, but I tried. the man that was full with energy said that he came back here for spending the new year with his familiy.  Walking together for a while, we talked about the good points of Morocco, Japan, Germany where he lives now, while we're walking.

He was just a gentle man full with energy😂,,sorry for alerting for you.  And he reccomanded me to take a taxi if you go to airport, but I didn't ,considering with the former problem of taxi and now having a lots time, so continued walking.  After that, he took a taxi to Fna takes around 10 minutes on foot.

its so hard work after that.  Just one road doesn't end continues till getting to the airport, on the way , there are few people, only a few camels.  Finally, it took 1h and 15 minites, and thats one of the toughest work of this trip,, who would think it would be the one😂.

We met up succussfully !   from now on, we will go together

Meeting up with friends in foreign country brings people something different happy feeling from what we feel in usual situation.  now we can access easily to lots of developed tools, more information, but when we meet in foreign country, its your first time and you might have worries.  i think that will be turned to be the pleasure.

Taxi is scheduled to come to airport at 18:15 from our hotel(traditional Moroccan hotel, called Riad)、but having delay because of traffic jam.  But finally he came and took us to the hotel.

During driving, I tried to communicate with him as usual to get some local information from people there.  He understood only Arabic and French....  After all what I got was only we would get there with daley by traffic jam, but I felt communication was interesting.

This time, we will stay at [ Raid House13] run by Japanese for 2 days until tour of Sahara desert begins.  When we were there, there  were 3 people, 2 peolple are Japanese, and the other was Berber , Mr. Asu.

Berber people are the people who have lived in north Africa countries since long time ago and speak Berber language as their mother tongue.

Ive never thought that I met the people who I learnt in the text book at the Hotel.  And he had been a member of nomadic tribe on the desert , so cool.

The male staff works there , traveling around the world.  we had a relaxed time there with other japanese, mint tea, stories they talked.

Today is the last day before starting the tour for desert.  we need to prepare anything we need in today.  stuff says that turban is one of the things we need on desert for protecting skin against sun, sand, against the cold.  this will be my debut of turban at 21 years old.

Almost people who visit Morocco want to go to desert, but when you go to desert, generally you have to enroll to tour, and you can find tours there, but checking the reputations, contents are needed to get good experiences.  So i recommend you to do research and reserve it in advance.
